How to Bake a Potato?

Baked potatoes are a favorite and the most feasible option for dinner. It is a no-brainer recipe where all you need is dollop of butter or a scoop of chili. It is soft, warm, and filling. Before baking a potato, make sure you wash the potatoes well and prick them with a fork. If you miss the pricking, you will end up with a potato bomb in your oven. The tiny pricks will ensure the steam has an outlet to escape without bursting the potato.

You need to preheat your oven to 425°F. Take your clean potatoes and rub them with oil (preferably Olive Oil). Sprinkle the potatoes with salt and pepper as per taste and do not forget to prick them with a fork. Place the potatoes on your oven rack or baking sheet. Bake them for about 45 to 60 minutes till the skin is crispy and when you prick your fork, it just goes it with ease.
You could even wrap them in foil before cooking and follow the same method. This will keep the skin soft and the potatoes warm till you start eating them.

Rub your clean potatoes with oil and sprinkle salt and pepper over it. Prick them with a fork and place them in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave the potatoes at full power for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn them over and place them in the microwave for another 3 to 5 minutes. Prick them with a fork to know if they are done. In case you find them hard in the center, place them back in the oven for additional one-minute cooking until done.

You know the drill by now. Rub the potatoes with oil and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Prick them with forks and wrap them in foil. Place the potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker and place the lid over the top. Now, set the cooker on LOW for about 8 to 10 minutes.
