How to Find Polling booth where your name is registered

The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are in full swing in India. It is the duty of every Indian citizen to cast their valuable vote and choose the right government.

There are pooling booths set up by the Election Commission in all parts of the country. A voter can vote only in the polling booth where his/her name is registered.

Find out where is the nearest polling booth where your name is registered.

 


Step 1


Visit official website of the National Voters’ Services Portal (NSVP) https://www.nvsp.in/.

Step 2


On the home page on right side you find know your ‘Booth, AC, and PC’ under the ‘Citizen Information’ and click it.

Step 3


Enter your name, age or DOB, father’s/husband’s name/ state and CAPTCHA code.

Step 4


You will find the details of your polling booth and other details at the bottom of the page.
Click on ‘View Details’ and you will find your polling booth, parliamentary constituency, and assembly constituency. The polling booth number and name is where you need to go and vote. It is in this area where your name in voters list is registered.

How to Search for Nearest Polling Booth via SMS?


Step 1


Those who have their voter’s ID can simply send an SMS and find their polling booth. You need to type EPIC followed by space and your voter’s ID number. Send this to 51969/166.
Or you could SMS <ECIPS> space <EPIC No> to 1950.

In a few minutes you will get an SMS with the name and location of the polling booth you need to visit to vote.
